Beware of Cyber Fraud

09-05-2024 | News

As part of our continuous efforts to safeguard your interactions with Daman, we're reaching out to remind you to remain vigilant when handling emails or SMS messages which claim to be from Daman.

We are aware of a number of fraudulent messages claiming that a member’s electronic health card is about to expire. They urge the member to update their information immediately to avoid disruption to their normal use. We would therefore ask you to pay close attention to any email or SMS messages which ask you to disclose personal information or click on a link.

Here are a few tips to help you stay safe online:

  • Check the email address of the sender. Is it from an official Daman email ID? Pay particular attention to the spelling of the sender’s name and domain. Are there any extra letters or dots?
  • Never divulge your personal information or data to anybody, unless you are certain that they are from a legitimate source. Do not share your bank or credit card details with anybody.
  • Never click on any links in a suspicious email or SMS.

Remember: Daman will never ask you to confirm specific bank account or credit card details, such as your CVV number, one time password (OTP) or account password.
